We  are looking for an experienced and dynamic ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER to be instrumental in running our  superb  4  Silver Star 2 AA Rosette Holiday Inn Reading M4 Jct 10, Wharfedale Road, Winnersh Triangle , Reading Berks RG41 5TS   Located adjacent to the Winnersh Triangle station, and within very close proximity of Reading/Bracknell and Wokingham, this  exceptional 4 silver star hotel consist of 174 spacious bedrooms, an Academy with  8 conference/ banqueting suites for up to 280 in the largest, a substantial Esprit Wellness & Spa , Caprice 2 AA restaurant and busy Monty’s Bar & Lounge with resident pianist,.   We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Front Office Manager to be part of our senior management team. This opportunity has arisen as a result of the promotion of our long term Assistant Front Office Manage within the hotel.   Together with the long tenured Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the hotel’s Front Office Team in addition to developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and increase sales, thereby maximising revenue.   Reporting to the Front Office Manager and General Manager you will be responsible for Reception, Reservations enquiries, Night Team and undertaking duty management shifts.   Outstanding team management skills are essential as you will be fully responsible for the development and performance management of the Front Office team. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service standards. You should also have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal and have a working knowledge of Opera or a similar system. The ideal candidate must also be prepared to be fully flexible as you will be required to work hands on Duty Management shifts and shifts as required. You will work on a shift basis, working 5 days out of 7. The successful candidate should ideally have previously worked in a branded Hotel, preferably an InterContinental Hotels Group brand, in a similar role. Prior knowledge of Fidelio Opera PMS is a strong advantage.   You should have a proven track record of leading a team to achieve performance and operational targets with particular emphasis on Rooms Management.   You will be required to motivate and inspire the team and be able to implement new systems and procedures.   Ideal candidates should have a stable background and positive references   Please view our website on for further information   You must be eligible to live and work in the UK unrestricted
