We are looking for our very busy, well established clients a Shipping Clerk for the busy Shipping Department. Shipping Clerk Job Role will be : - · Issuing day to day shipping documentation · Organising collections for shipping · Admin duties related to shipping Department · Raising invoices from shipping documentation Shipping Clerk Primary Responsibilities:- · Arranging collections of goods for despatch UK and around the world · Liaising with customers, Sales Department, Quality Department, Technical, Packing, HRMC, Chamber of Commerce and transport companies · Maintaining appropriate records · Day to day shipping and invoicing · Import/Export documentation related to shipping · Letters of credit Shipping Clerk Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill required:- Working knowledge and understanding of computerised systems. Word, Excel, Sage line 100 etc Experience in Shipping/Logistics environment Must work well independently and as part of a team. Proactive and flexible Thorough and meticulous work ethic Ability to work fast & accurately Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Training available for Import/Export procedures; Customer service and Letter of Credit transactions Hours would be 8.30-4.30 Monday to Friday with 45 minutes lunch break. Salary £16- £18K dependant on experience.
