Fulbridge Social Care are recruiting both experienced and non-experienced Weekend Residential Youth Workers to join our experienced team to work in our clients children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings over the weekends. We are looking for flexible, reliable and interactive individuals who want to work within a specialist environment. For this role patience and empathy is vital, as you will be supporting young people with a range of behavioural and emotional difficulties. It is essential that the ideal candidate has the ability to adapt and match the pace of the young people, as well as building relationships on the foundations of trust, respect and compassion. As no two days are the same, the ideal candidate needs to have the drive to take each day as it comes, and the perseverance to understand the roots of even the most challenging behaviours. This is a great opportunity for those that are looking to gain experience and training in this sector as well as having the opportunity to gain further qualifications whilst working and to secure a full time position after a few months. Successful candidates must complete the induction assessment training as part of candidate compliance, prior to any placements being offered. This will include Team Teach; Child Protection; CPD Certified First Aid; Understanding Behaviour; Working with Self Harm and Understanding Autism and ADHD. All positions hold a minimum age requirement of 21 years in accordance to national minimum standards and a driving licence is essential for this position as you may be required to drive the unit car to escort the young people to social activities and family contacts. Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS with Fulbridge Social Care at a cost of £57 met by the employee or provide a portable DBS.
