Job description

The position advertised is for a Production Operative in a well-established manufacturer of dance footwear, a company with sales globally that has been hand-crafting shoes for over 35 years and who’s reputation has lead it to become main suppliers for BBC’s popular ’Strictly Come Dancing’.  A succesful candidate will become a valuable member of our production team. The work will involve preparing components for production, work on our production line for either/both of our men’s shoe or ladies shoe tracks. Training will be given to allow you to grow your shoemaking skills.   Essential requirements include excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. We also encourage people to apply if they are enthusiastic and have a real willingness to learn and thrive within a team that is regularly working to tight deadlines. We need our employees to take extreme care in the tasks they do, such is the high level of quality our products are renown for. Having products made in England is a hallmark of quality in the industry and this needs to be maintained. Some experience in manufacture is great, but not desirable as training will be provided.   The role can cover many aspects of production including insole and heel covering, cutting, quality control and crafting of uppers as well as track work too. Hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. With progression there may be opportunities for overtime outside of regular hours.
