Job description

  JOB DESCRIPTION   Job Title:Commis Waiter   Responsible to:       Restaurant Manager Assistant Restaurant Manager Chef de Rang Breakfast Supervisor   Responsible for:The smooth running of service within the Food & Beverage areas.   Main aim of Job:   To ensure the highest standard of service is offered in the Food & Beverage areas, whilst maintaining a good working relationship between the Kitchen and the Restaurant.   Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: -   Making and delivering tea & coffee complying with the Food & Beverage standard operating procedures   In-room dining set up and delivery   Knowledge of the menu for afternoon tea in order to serve the afternoon tea   Following and agreeing to the cleaning rota for back of house   Assisting the Chef de Rang in Silver Service   Liaison with kitchen with regard to calling food   To assist in all areas of the food and beverage operation as required      PERSON SPECIFICATION      Excellent communication skills    A proactive and flexible approach to the workload     Ability to work well under pressure     Eager to learn and progress within the company You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, the ability to work alone as well as within a team and be both self motivated and pro active. Friendly, professional demeanourDemonstrate a passion for food and a commitment to fine dining experienceBe smart, polite, professional and well presented at all timesFlexible and adaptable approach to the workload Display composure and professionalism at all times CSE or equivalent
