Fulbridge are seeking enthusiastic and ambitious Children’s Residential Care Assistants to join our experienced team of Children’s Care Workers, working in and around the Peterborough areas on a full or part time basis. With a wide range of day and night shifts available as well as weekend work- we are offering the opportunity to work flexible hours suited to your availability. A sensitive, caring and professional approach is required for this role in order to maintain our high quality of care and person-centred approach. You will be working in close contact with children and young people between the ages of 11 to 18 years who have been placed in the care system and come from a diverse range of complex and difficult backgrounds. The day to day routines will vary from taking the young people to education, appointments, shopping and leisure activities as well as household tasks such as cooking and cleaning. You would be helping to create a happy, stable and safe environment for the young people to live and develop within. You will be an integral part of supporting the well-being of the children and young people in care. Experience in this field and related qualifications are not essential as full training will be provided. It’s important that you are confident in your ability to work in a sensitive and professional manner with both the young people and core staff team. WHAT WE OFFER · Full training and qualifications are offered to successful candidates including Team Teach; Child Protection; CPD Certified First Aid; Understanding Behaviour; Working with Self Harm and Understanding Autism and ADHD · Monthly supervisions · Weekly pay - delivered accurately and on time REQUIREMENTS · All positions hold a minimum age requirement of 21 years in accordance with national minimum standards. · A driving licence is advantageous for this position as you may be required to drive the unit car to take the young people to appointments such as family contacts, meetings, school and social activities. Please note that you would be required to complete an enhanced DBS with Fulbridge Social Care at a cost of £57 met by the employee or provide a portable DBS. Please note that International Checks might also be required as part of compliance if you have lived or worked for an extended period abroad.
