Job description

Role Title: Business Support Administrator   Location: Ellesmere Port   Assignment: Temporary   Salary: £8.55 per hour   Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm   The Business Support Administrator will be working as part of a team, to provide a full and comprehensive service to the wider department. The Business Support Administrator will process financial transactions, update service databases, respond to enquiries, and general clerical support. Working on a temporary contract to the 22nd of December, the Business Support Administrator will be key to the success of the team.   To apply for the Business Support Administrator role, you should possess a strong background in administration, document production and industry specific procedures. The Business Support Administrator will have strong working knowledge of MS Office and Oracle. The successful candidate must hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, have a full driving licence and provide two references.   Key Responsibilities: Process financial transactions using Oracle including creating and closing requisitions and purchase orders, requests for payments, mark view, staff expenses, handling cash and cheques, standing orders and  direct debts, accurately and on time in accordance with financial regulation to ensure budgets are managed efficiently and effectively.Input to and update service and customer data bases ensuring that the accuracy and integrity of the information is maintained. Retrieve and extract data in the form of summary reports, Excel spreadsheets or Word documents so that managers and external organisations and agencies that can be assisted in their decision making to enable them to control budgets, reconcile records and manage projects in accordance with financial regulation. Respond to enquiries from all staff, promptly and accurately including referring enquiries to the appropriate supervisor or manager ensuring that communication standards are met and maintained. Respond to feedback about performance in a positive and sympathetic manner identifying potential areas for improvement to systems, functions and activities and referring to an appropriate supervisor or manager ensuring quality standards and service needs are met and business levels maintained. Provide general administrative support including photocopying, filling, scanning, minute taking, developing and utilising standard letters and pre-formatted documents, PowerPoint presentations and  reception duties to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of supports to ensure service needs are met and business levels maintained. Organise and assist in service and business process reviews and projects to ensure managers are supported in their planning to implement, streamlined, cost effective services. Produce statistical and financial returns and grant claims ensuring databases, working papers and systems are maintained and up to date and that submissions are made on time in accordance with the grant conditions and other regulations.     Essential Skills: ·              Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and other databases, to include Oracle ·              Input / monitor spreadsheets, perform word processing tasks, communicate via e-mails and input / update databases ·              Literacy and numeracy and clerical knowledge ·              Producing documentation ·              Proven communication skills ·              Proven ability to meet deadlines ·              Knowledge, experience and awareness of work procedures necessary in administration / finance ·              To function efficiently and professionally in a busy office environment ·              Ability to work independently with confidence and discretion ·              High standard of accuracy essential with ability to prioritise Keywords:  Administration, Administrator, finance, Oracle Contact Details: To apply please contact Pam on 01244 434386 or email pam@tbc-recruit.com __________________________________________________________________________________________   Unfortunately due to time restrictions we cannot respond to every applicant, in the event that we haven’t contacted you within 48 hours please take it you have not been successful for this particular role, but your details will be kept on file and considered for all future vacancies   We are acting on behalf of the client as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy   We are an equal opportunities agency and welcome applicants from all backgrounds __________________________________________________________________________________________
