Job description

We currently require a Plumber / Plumbing Engineer at HMP Highpoint to maintain prison buildings, fabric, associated plant and equipment including security items, in a safe manner.The Plumber will act as a valuable member of the prison maintenance team and will be required to deliver a high level of service to ensure the upkeep of maintenance and repair of all staff and prisoner facilities in the estate Key responsibilities: Carry out all PPM tasks in accordance with the annual PPM Planner, and notify any repairs as necessaryTo be available to respond & repair any reactive calls rose through the onsite HelpdeskEnsure all record keeping functions are completed on a daily basisEnsure all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safetyEnsure that any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the Engineering Supervisor /Manager as per escalation procedureOn reasonable request be available to work overtime to accommodate the sites requirements. The scope of equipment to be worked on will include but not be limited to the following: Air Handling UnitsBoilersPumpsWater HeatersPressurisation unitsBuilding management systemControl systemGeneral Plumbing and Building Maintenance Essentials Skills/Experience Must hold a minimum of  Vocational Qualification at Level 2 as an plumber or related area.
