Regulatory Law Solicitor Regulatory Law Solicitor , Birmingham Outstanding role here for a regulatory solicitor to join a well known department in Birmingham. This role would suit someone who has trained and gained experience in a busy criminal defence team and you should have upwards of 2 years PQE. The regulatory caseload available is mixed in nature and you would be joining a successful unit working alongside very technical people. You can expect to handle health and safety and regulatory work involving prosecuting and defending in the Magistrates Courts, advising upon relevant areas of criminal and regulatory law in connection with health and safety, environmental and planning legislation and specific statutory controls enforced by other regulatory bodies to include interpretation of legislation and advice upon procedural and evidential issues, advising public bodies in particular NHS Trusts on police powers and procedures often in sensitive cases with media interest , offer advice and representation at Inquest. You will draft witness statements, prepare cases for prosecution, act upon evidence offered and liaise with regulators for further information. You will be an ambitious solicitor with a regulatory or a criminal defence background who has good organisational skills and can manage your own time effectively.
