Night Team Member (Nights)(Arden Hotel Limited) DepartmentLine ManagerDirect ReportsJob BandingTypeHoursFront OfficeNight Manager & Rooms Division ManagerNone1Zero Hours0  Objective of Role Assisting in the overseeing of the Nights operation at the hotel between 11.00pm and 7.00am, ensuring all guest services are being met during the night, including security, nights fire safety, room requests, reception services, 24 hour room service and ensuring the setup of breakfast and functional cleaning and reconditioning to the meeting and event rooms. Breakdown of Responsibilities Ensure excellent and professional service to guests and delegate at all times. Ensuring that you are consistently demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude to service.Ensure that all meetings and event rooms are set up to the required standard prior overnight. Ensure the cleanliness of all public toilets, lobby and mezzanine, Bar, Lounge, TV Lounge & Leisure Club.Ensure presentation in a clean well maintained uniform, including correct name badge being worn at all times.Offering a quality service in the meeting rooms, using effective setup standards to ensure all rooms are of a consistently high standard. Addressing any issues prior to the guest’s arrival in time for this to be rectified.Ensuring exceptional front desk services, including the checking in and out of guests and dealing with any guest requests or issues overnight.Assist in the night security operation and ensure that the camera systems are reviewed overnight if necessary, ensure car park checks are made on a regular basis throughout the shift.Strong focus in all areas on upselling additional items or higher quality products to benefit the guests and the hotel revenue performance. Assisting with Bar service where required during busy periods and outside bar service times, ensuring all drinks consumed are charged to the relevant guest accounts or payment taken at time of consumption where appropriate.Ensuring all guest accounts are set up properly, and charges are posted as appropriate, review billing instructions and make sure we have the correct correspondence for all guests.Pre-charge all Virtual Cards overnight for the check outs on the following day, and credit to the correct room accounts. Ensure any notes are added to reservations where appropriate.Assisting in building fire walk rounds of the hotel every two hours throughout the night to ensure that we have security and fire safety in line with regulation throughout the night. This is to include ensuring all entrances and exits to the hotel are locked after 12 midnight (excluding front doors), to ensure that all the corridors are clear from obstructions including trays, to ensure all fire exits are clear and well maintained, and to ensure that any unusual security risks are addressed as a matter of urgency.Prepare In Room Dining & Bar Food service in line with the 24 hour menu, ensuring Food service is prepared and delivered to the guests where appropriate, ensuring all Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to, and deliver to bedrooms in a timely manner.Ensuring all restaurant tables are cleared down where appropriate for any guests leaving after 11.00pm and the tables are re-laid in line with the standards set. Opening the Leisure Club and ensuring the cleanliness of the area, and ensuring the sanarium and steam room are turned on by 5.00am or 6.00am at the weekends so that all is ready when the Leisure Club team open up that morning.Setting the Brasserie for Breakfast service at 5.30am or 6.00am at the weekends ensuring the buffet is on and the food is brought out as the chef prepares it, handover to the Brasserie team as they arrive that day.Work a flexible roster in line with the conditions set out in your Particulars of Main Terms of Employment statement, in relation to your department this may include evening, weekend and night work as the business dictates. Training in Position Four annual Fire, Life Safety training sessions.Training on Guestline POS.Training on Food Safety (Level One)Training on ReslynxPMS & OTA Extranet sites. Required Experience & Qualifications Good Sales & Communication Skills.Strong Administration Skills, with experience ideally in an administrative role.Good Understanding of Hotel Industry.     GCSE / Scottish or equivalent
