Job description

Client Accountant is responsible for pro-actively managing a portfolio of clients ensuring that all statutory compliance work is achieved, targets are exceeded and referrals are gained thereby leading to company growth. My client is an Accountancy firm that specialises in the freelancer and contractor market providing expert services in the Setting up of a Limited Company from understanding director’s responsibilities to determining IR35 status and undertaking Tax Planning. You will provide advice and support to make the limited company formation a success. Responsibilities will include:- Building long term relationships with clients, ensuring you communicate with them regularly Exceeding all targets for client referrals, applying the referral policy and ensuring client meetings are carried out and feedback obtained Managing the compliance cycle for all allocated clients, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met and internal SLA’s exceeded Providing on-going, unsolicited proactive advice on a regular basis Seeking on-going feedback from clients and reporting results for the Operations Director and Marketing Manager/Director Working with New Client Administrator and Credit Control to ensure that clients’ fees are paid Working with the New Client Administrator to manage the billing cycle of the client and follow procedure to have credits raised, invoices stopped if necessary Working with the team to continually measure, examine, develop, re-engineer and implement the continuous improvements of accountancy operations system, procedures, service levels and policies Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation to meet the all regulations Ensuring all agreed performance measures are reviewed and measured on a monthly basis with defined action plans to achieve or exceed the targets Ensuring Performance Development plan is reviewed quarterly with the Operations Director Promote the vision, values and culture of the business within the team and where necessary externally i.e. writing articles, guides, press releases, blogs and public speaking Continuously develop own knowledge and skills Promote passion for the benefits of the quality based management system, ensuring working knowledge of the ISO 9001:2008 standards Using and displaying reasonable working knowledge of software systems Ensure all SLA’s are exceeded Demonstrate contribution towards improvements in team productivity and the customer experience Regularly provide Senior Client Accountant with customer feedback to ensure the business is driven to add real value to the customers Shared responsibility for long term profitability and growth of the business Specifications include: Ideally MMAT qualified Experience in an accountancy practice Juggle high volumes and work well under pressure Benefits include: Support for ACCA or other studies if desired
