Job description

·        Responsible for a station of covers within the restaurant. ·        To be aware and knowledgeable of current food hygiene practices and procedures. ·        Responsible for the cleaning of all Cutlery, Water Jugs and glasses. ·        To prepare Stations prior to any service and to ensure they remain clean and tidy throughout the service and that they are cleaned and tidied after the service. ·        To serve all guests and deal with their queries in a pleasant, polite and professional manner. ·        To ensure all sauces, sugar and salt and pepper are filled every day. ·        To ensure the standards of service are followed (see separate attachment). ·        To ensure that the service table is set up prior to any service. ·        Ensure that you cross of the tables from the blackboard in the kitchen as you serve them. ·        To change tablecloths as and when required. ·        To take the order for dinner and ensure that these are given to the Chef. ·        To complete 1 cleaning duty each day e.g. Clean and Hoover the Restaurant stairs, clean the service table and change the cloth, clean the store cupboard, clean the window sills, clean the glass door, clean brass door fittings, clean all pictures and lights, count dirty cloths for the laundry, to collect clean service cloths, clean the skirting boards as per rota. ·        To work with chemicals in a safe manner, that will not cause harm to you or any other person. ·        To use any electrical equipment in a safe manner. ·        To report any maintenance required. ·        To respect guest’s personal belongings and to hand in any lost property to a member of management. ·        To do additional duties within your department if requested. ·        Attend and participate in all staff meetings as and when required. CSE or equivalent
